Motorcycle Ministry
As part of our community outreach ministries, on December 11, 2011 Cain’s Chapel UMC became a host church for a chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Riders Motorcycle Ministry. Even though hosted by Cain’s Chapel UMC, this ministry is open to all motorcycle enthusiasts, regardless of where or if they regularly attend church. If you are interested in experiencing fun, safe, small (and sometimes not-so-small) group riding with great camaraderie and fellowship in a Christian atmosphere, you are welcome.
There are no age/race/gender/bike-size or bike-type restrictions; the only requirement is that participants on FCR rides must have a valid motorcycle operator’s license; agree to follow common-sense safetry rules; and agree to conduct themselves in a Christian manner when representing FCR or participating in its events. While FCR almost always takes “the road less traveled” it is asked that anyone riding in a FCR event be able to safely maintain 70 mph, in the event that we might be forced to briefly ride on an interstate highway.
